SOTOGRANDE MAGAZINE
The renowned Sotogrande magazine highlights the joint work of our studio together with DUS Desarrollos Inmobiliarios in a publication of its magazine. With a project underway in Sotoalto and four more in the design phase, the synergy between creativity and dissemination stands out in this successful pairing. The studio currently has four projects in Sotogrande, including several residential buildings and the famous House of the seven gardens.
The article highlights how each project of our study is valued as “the first, the last and the only one”, infusing effort and innovation in each work.
According to the magazine “One of the most recent projects, which has impressed with its complexity, is the design of the house that is inspired by the iconic Japanese torii, creating a captivating fusion of tradition and contemporary aesthetics.” The house is made up of two distinct elements: a solid base crafted from green marble and a slim, elegant canopy structure. Reminiscent of a foundation, the base symbolizes strength and stability, while the delicate canopy embodies ethereal beauty. Together, they form a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity, offering a serene and refined living space where light and shadow dance gracefully.

Opening event | NIU Houses

NIU HOUSES
NIU Houses inaugurates the first residential showroom of real architecture in Valencia on June 22 at 8:00 p.m. in Campolivar. The visitor will live a complete experience touring this exhibition of fully furnished homes with swimming pools and gardens.
The NIU Houses are already part of the first real architecture showroom in Spain. Together with our studio, a unique architectural space has been created in the Valencian town of Godella in which the general public can visit the completely finished houses on a real scale, a model totally removed from traditional formulas such as show apartments or fictitious reproductions that are install at construction fairs.
This space will be inaugurated next week in the residential area of Campolivar (Godella, Valencia) so that both the professional and non-professional public can visit the different types of houses: the NIU N220, N230, N320 and N150 fully furnished, with the garden and the swimming pool executed. These are the first constructions that have been carried out from the exclusive NIU Houses catalogue, which has a total of 8 designs with different sizes and features.
The visitor will be able to live the experience of getting to know a modern home first-hand before inhabiting it by visiting its fully equipped spaces with swimming pools and large gardens. Inside the homes, you will be able to appreciate the qualities of custom-made furniture and all the home automation technology that they incorporate.

Our project Àtic Blanc has been featured in the pages of the renowned newspaper “Las Provincias”. With a long tradition and widespread reach in the Valencian Community, this media outlet has become a benchmark for quality information, whose interest in contemporary architecture has provided this prominent space for the architecture studio.
Located in the center of Valencia, the project seeks to reinterpret the approach of this type of housing, recovering the potential of disused roofs. We like to think that each building takes an open space from the city and gives it back on the roof.
The central access to the house allows the program to be organized in an orderly manner, on the one hand the day area, where a continuous space for the kitchen, dining room and living room is articulated. This space opens on both sides to different terraces, favoring natural cross ventilation.
The night area, made up of the bedrooms, is located on the other side of the access. The axiality of the proposal appears in all the rooms, and is enhanced by the arrangement of different elements, such as the linear luminaires on the ceiling, or the fixed furniture. The terrace is understood as a sort of atrium open to the sky, seeking the sensation of being in an isolated building from which to contemplate the city of Valencia.

HOUSE IN THE AIR
We have recently carried out a photography and video session in one of our latest built projects, Casa en el Aire.
For this, we have worked with the renowned photographer Fernando Guerra and with the filmmaker Jesús Orrico, who have been commissioned to document the essence of the design.
The project is located in Zahara de los Atunes, Tarifa, located in the southernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. Since there is a large slope in the terrain, the element appears as a balanced piece, a sculpture that rises from the ground and hovers over the landscape. The extensive windows connect the house with its natural environment, a series of wide openings that allow you to cool the day area with the strong winds of Tarifa and open to the sea.

NIU Houses | Architecture exhibition on a real scale

EXHIBITION OF ARCHITECTURE ON A REAL SCALE
Living the first-hand experience of how a contemporary property is lived will be possible thanks to the future exhibition of Architecture on a real scale that NIU Houses will carry out in the capital and that will be possible to visit soon. The presentation event took place on May 18 at the Gandia Blasco Group flagship store, where it will be possible to see through images and models which will be the full-scale house models that can be visited in the future Architecture showroom.
NIU Houses opens its second full-scale architecture exhibition, this time in the capital, providing a unique experience in contemporary homes. The houses, designed by our studio, are the testimony of an innovative and high-quality architecture, built with systematized methods that guarantee precision and speed up construction times.
The exhibition will allow visitors to explore and experience a series of eight furnished houses of different sizes. Each space will be equipped with bespoke designer furniture, allowing visitors to interact with it in a real and holistic context, in contrast to conventional architecture fair representations. The outdoor furniture will be by GANDIABLASCO, an internationally renowned firm in the creation of contemporary outdoor environments.
This innovative project arises from the need to offer more efficient construction methods, allowing users to have full control of the time and resources invested, and guaranteeing superior aesthetic and objective quality. In addition, the interior design carried out by Alfaro Hofmann provides a personalized approach and attention to detail.
NIU Houses maintains a firm commitment to sustainability, using recyclable materials and designing all homes with a focus on energy efficiency, which contributes to a significant reduction in energy expenditure. This initiative is a significant step towards revolutionizing the real estate sector and building a more sustainable future.

HOUSE IN SOTOGRANDE
Located in front of the Sotogrande’s golf course, the house proposes to inhabit the shade generated between the ground floor plan and the roof. A large cantilever allows to stop the intense sun of Cádiz and to protect from the abundant rains of the area of the Sierra de Grazalema.
Deep inside there is a wooden body that gives privacy to the rooms and provides the desired warmth. Thus, four limits appear: the plane, the shadow, the glass that allows the interior to be climatized, and finally, the wood one.
The structural effort allows to open the space directly to the landscape without interruptions. The access is finded in the upper street. From this point, the water of the roof is observed in an attempt to blur the architecture to mimic it in the natural environment.
All the materials of the house are in the same warm tone, from the natural stone floor to the wooden ceiling.
The planes of the roof and the ground floor are displaced to generate a covered access and an endless swimming pool on the golf course. At the end, the main goal is to make the lowest impact on the environment, allowing to enjoy a shade inhabited in Sotogrande.

Our studio has recently carried out the photographic session of the recently completed project Casa Sabater, in collaboration with the famous photographer Fernando Guerra. Noted for his ability to immortalize the essence of architecture, Fernando Guerra has worked closely with the team to ensure that each photograph conveys the design intent and essence of the project.
Fernando Guerra is one of the world’s most recognized and respected architectural photographers, photographing and documenting hundreds of buildings by notable architects around the world. His style of photography has become iconic in the field of architectural photography, as his focus is on capturing the environment and surroundings of buildings, as well as their relationship with light. In addition, we had the privilege of collaborating with the talented filmmaker Jesús Orrico to make the video for the project.
The geometry of Casa Sabater allows each of the pieces to have a different interaction with light, space and the landscape with which it is related, seeking to highlight the particular use of each volume.

Architectural Digest (AD) magazine has published our recent project The Sphinx in its online version. AD magazine is internationally known for its focus on interior design, architecture, home culture and decoration. The magazine selects the most impressive and innovative architectural projects to present to its wide audience of design professionals and aficionados.
This ambitious design for a villa on the north coast of Egypt has been recognized for its innovative approach, exploring the structural limits of the architectural cantilever. Inspired by the geometric shape of a sphinx, it consists of a design that connects a two-story, flat-roofed volume with a smaller floor raised approximately 15 meters in the air. A striking and challenging architectural feature, the cantilever is supported by a single concrete support less than 30 centimeters thick.
