This home is organized on two floors; the ground floor corresponding to the day area and the upper floor to the night area, in a classic distribution scheme. The main space on the ground floor is organized around a central core where services and communication are located, which allows the living room and kitchen to enjoy privacy while maintaining a direct connection with the garden in two of its orientations.

The textures and materials of the proposed finishes are in tune with the cozy, contemporary and balanced character of the home, in this case the finish is Graphite. Inside, the panels, furniture and fixed furniture feature a lacquered wood finish in a deep matte gray tone, creating a feeling of sophistication and continuity. The continuous gray vinyl flooring harmoniously complements this color palette. In the bathrooms, the Solid Surface coating in white offers a clean and bright contrast. On the outside, the façade is characterized by a gray Solid Surface coating, which is complemented by a sandblasted ceramic exterior flooring with a matte finish, maintaining the coherence of the design and the elegance of the whole. These finishes reflect a preference for chromatic sobriety and quality materials, resulting in an appearance that is both elegant and functional.

The facades of the NIU homes are made of Solid Surface, a material with high resistance, durability, ease of repair and low maintenance. In addition to its low porosity that makes it antibacterial, the system allows, through a ventilated chamber, to generate air circulation between the exterior wall and the cladding that helps to improve the thermal behavior of the houses, thus achieving greater energy savings.

The relationship between the interior and the exterior is one of the most important issues of the project. The high-end, high-tech windows designed with hidden profiles provide continuity and spaciousness to the space, making it possible to incorporate views into the room.

The set of spaces in the villas includes equipment and uses that go beyond a conventional home. Gym, sauna, indoor and outdoor pool, movie theater or wine cellar, as well as common use spaces designed with the potential to convey comfort and well-being connected to the outside landscape.

The villas as a whole integrate strategies and technologies that allow reducing the amount of water consumed, improving their efficiency with the use of renewable energies and guaranteeing internal environmental quality.

Villa Lavan

This villa is presented as a superposition of two very resounding volumes, which through the game posed by the rotation between them, generate covered terraces and orient the upper floor in the direction of the distant views of the landscape. The pieces have two solid sides that perform the structural function, thus allowing the fronts to be completely open through large windows facing the garden with a marked horizontality.

Villa Lago

The Villa develops from the dissolution of its architecture in its natural environment, like a growing piece or a sequence of elements that we can find in nature. Its volumes are arranged on the ground following a slight unevenness, allowing the permeable volumetry to transform into a kind of natural stand.

Villa 18

The Villa is organized into three volumes of different heights arranged organically on irregular platforms. Its perimeters of curved walls connect generating empty spaces that give rise to patios in which various uses are developed.

An aggregation of pieces that touch the terrain in a subtle way through a central support make up the project that is located on the beachfront on the shores of the Pacific.

The project is resolved with two extruded spaces, two volumes that overlap, in which the upper one moves in the direction of the lake in front, giving rise to a cantilever that seeks to generate a large shaded terrace. Two elements that make up a single project, in which highly dynamic facades are distinguished generated by the openings that open in them, openings that allow a comfortable reading of the envelope.

The visits will be carried out by the studio’s architects and, afterwards, the gastronomy of the area will be tasted in a premium restaurant. In order to participate in these visits, it is necessary to register on the festival website and purchase a ticket for the activity, the price of which includes transportation and food during the day.

Due to its sloping terrain, the structure appears as a piece of architecture deposited in the environment. The site is prepared with a sort of foundation made from the grey tonality of the stones found in the surroundings; in fact, the name Zahara comes from the Arabic Sahara, which could be translated as a “rocky place”. This foundation allows the house to be settled at the necessary level to ensure the view of the sunset reflection in the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. At the opposite side, we find a quiet courtyard that provides shelter for the strong winds of Tarifa, this courtyard also leads to the complementary rooms of the house. As if the upper floor was dropped over the plinth, the residence is divided into three areas. The main area is the living room. Entirely passing between the northwest, where the magical sunset takes place, and the southeast where no structural element interferes with the interior space and the landscape. On both sides are the night areas with the same orientation. This arrangement balances the structure and gives privacy to the main room.

A simple architecture embedded in a place where any sensitive observer will be able to enjoy all the colours.
