Fran Silvestre Arquitectos designs the packaging for a limited edition for TAG Heuer
06/07/2026
Fran Silvestre Arquitectos has designed the packaging for a limited edition for TAG Heuer, a collaboration born from a relationship we have always considered particularly close: the one between watchmaking and architecture.
Although architecture has traditionally been understood as a static art, its link with time has been present since the most ancient cultures. Babylonians, Egyptians, Mayans, and many other civilizations considered the movement of the sun to orient, build, and give meaning to their architectures. Light, its path, and its variations throughout the day and year transform spaces, activate volumes, and bring architecture to life with the passage of time.
This limited edition commemorates the summer solstice, a time of year when light acquires a particularly unique chromaticism. Based on this idea, the studio has developed packaging that captures the tones of sunset during this period and transforms them into an enclosure capable of telling a shared story between both disciplines.
The design incorporates sketches of some Fran Silvestre Arquitectos projects in which the movement of the sun has played an essential role in the conception of space. These drawings accompany the watch and allow for the construction of a visual narrative around light, time, and precision, values present in both architecture and watchmaking.
Inside, the watch is presented within personalized packaging featuring elements from both brands, reinforcing the convergence of technical rigor, material sensitivity, and the ability to measure that which, though invisible, transforms our way of inhabiting: the passage of time.

The proposal is conceived from a composition of floor slabs that unfold as white horizontal planes, creating a dynamic and elongated facade through a clear architectural gesture.
This geometric arrangement resolves the dwelling’s siting and varies according to each room and its orientation, blurring the boundaries and articulating a fluid connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
The project, currently under construction, is conceived as a system in which horizontal planes organize the entire program. This condition allows each area to be adapted to its specific needs without losing visual coherence or the lightness of the entire ensemble.

Under construction | Dell Anno showroom

Located in the prestigious Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva in São Paulo, Dell Anno’s new architectural project is progressing in its construction phase. This space is characterized by a large suspended volume that will serve as an urban showcase and an undeniable reference within one of the main avenues dedicated to the city’s design.
The architecture of this work is organized around two superimposed longitudinal bodies. The proportions of this structure, which gradually takes shape on the site, respond directly to the elongated and slender geometry of the plot where the construction works are currently taking place.
Once the construction is finished, the interior design will be conceived as a continuous spatial sequence in which the visitor will discover the premises progressively. Throughout this journey, the route will offer subtle variations in light, scale and materiality that will completely transform the atmosphere of the place.
These architectural elements will intertwine to create a sensory gradient that will accompany each step and guide the perception of the environment. In this way, it is aimed to generate an immersive experience where proportion, depth, and movement will play a leading role from beginning to end.
The result of this ongoing work will be a unique and avant-garde space, capable of expressing with total fidelity the values of precision, sophistication and maximum attention to detail that characterize the brand.

Photo shoot for a completed project in La Moraleja: Villa Gaitanes
Photo shoot for a completed project in La Moraleja: Villa Gaitanes
15/06/2026
Our studio has completed the photo shoot for Villa Gaitanes, thus continuing the process of documenting and disseminating this project. Photographer Jesús Orrico’s perspective has allowed for the precise capture of the atmosphere and spatial essence of the residence.
The design of this house is based on a volume formed by the addition and subtraction of circular forms from a central rectangular mass, reinterpreting the relationship between geometry and environment. This formal configuration creates spaces for covered and uncovered terraces that embrace the existing natural green landscape on the plot.
The residence is composed of two clearly differentiated volumetric logics: the orthogonality of the central core and the fluidity of the curved geometries. The rectangular mass represents stability and organization, while the circular forms introduce a dynamic dimension that energizes the exterior space. Together, both elements create a balance between solidity and openness.
The organization of this villa is distributed across two levels. On the ground floor, at the level of the main entrance, both the private and social areas are fully developed, prioritizing accessibility and a direct connection with the garden. The lower level houses support areas, services, and facilities in a basement floor which, due to the careful consideration in its implementation, is practically invisible from the plot.
Villa Gaitanes is conceived as a serene space where architecture complements the landscape. The sequence of its terraces, the precision of its geometric composition, and the prominence of the surrounding nature create an experience that invites one to inhabit the place calmly, in a constant balance between the built environment and the natural surroundings.

08/06/2026
Next Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:00 PM, the Courtyard of the Territorial College of Architects of Valencia (CTAV) will host the presentation of the new monograph “Fran Silvestre Arquitectos. Arquitectura 2018–2026”. Edited by TC Cuadernos and focused on “La sublimación de lo cotidiano”, this publication offers a detailed reading on how the studio’s housing projects manage to transform daily routine into a spatial experience.
This book constitutes the first installment of a two-volume series designed to encompass the different scales and scopes of the firm’s work over these years. In the current volume, the focus is on single-family homes, analyzing how the relationship between the work and its surroundings, the mastery of light, and materiality shape the spaces. To contextualize this work, the book features forewords by three leading figures in contemporary architecture: Álvaro Siza, Aires Mateus, and Emilio Tuñón.
During the event, the firm’s trajectory will also be presented, and the launch of the second volume, titled “Large Scale, Interior Design, and Systematization,” will be previewed. This upcoming volume will broaden the scope of the work by incorporating larger-scale projects and developments closely linked to the industrialization of construction processes.
The launch of this publication strengthens the close relationship between the publisher and the architecture firm, whose previous monograph went through four printings. To attend the presentation and learn firsthand about the firm’s technical and design evolution, pre-registration is required, as seating is limited. Sign up here.

Our studio’s project, House in Las Rozas (Madrid, Spain), has been published in issue 205 of the prestigious Japanese magazine GA Houses, where it shares pages with a curated selection of outstanding international projects.
The architectural design of this dwelling is articulated from a clear and essential geometry, defined in floor plan by five circles. While three of them are developed as cylinders to configure the main spaces, a fourth piece hosts the swimming pool and the fifth defines the entrance area, consolidating the structural geometry as the organizing principle of the entire project. In its encounter with the terrain, the architecture assumes the sloped topography through transverse cuts at the base, integrating the unevenness into its own constructive logic. Likewise, the upper cuts respond to the need to incorporate sloped roofs parallel to the contact lines with the ground, achieving total coherence with the surroundings. In contrast, the interior space is organized orthogonally to offer a simple, clear, and direct daily use; a continuous system where structure and space construct a precise, silent, and essential experience.

Project in the finishing phase - KOH Samui, Thailand
Project in the finishing phase – KOH Samui, Thailand
18/05/2026
The residential project – KOH in Samui, Thailand, has entered its finishing phase, marking the final stretch for the materialization of this single-family home. Situated on an elevated plot with a steep slope, the architecture seeks to maximize uninterrupted views of the ocean while guaranteeing absolute privacy from neighboring properties. This strategic location allows the house to appear to float above the mountain, establishing an atmosphere of isolation, serenity, and exclusivity in perfect harmony with the island surroundings.
Structurally, the house is defined by a composition of two white horizontal slabs that create an elongated and dynamic facade tailored to the orientation of each room. This clean design conceals a truss system between the floor slabs, allowing for large cantilevers and wide, open spaces without visual interference. Functionally, the construction already reflects its layout across two levels: an upper level conceived as a self-contained unit for daily living—with social areas, the master bedroom, and an infinity pool that merges with the sea—and a lower level reserved for service quarters, a gym, and a second master bedroom.
With the main structure fully completed, current work centers on applying finishes, building services, and interior details, utilizing natural materials and neutral tones that enhance the overall aesthetic. Simultaneously, the organic landscaping, specifically designed to respect the original topography and minimize earthworks, is nearing completion. With this progress in the finishing stage, the interior spaces and landscape-facing bathrooms are definitively blurring the lines between modern architecture and the tropical nature of Koh Samui.

Number 1 architecture studio in Spain according to Architizer (2026)
Number 1 architecture studio in Spain according to Architizer (2026)
11/05/2026
Our firm has consolidated its leadership position by once again being recognized as number one in Spain in Architizer’s prestigious annual ranking. This recognition not only revalidates the excellence of our recent trajectory but also positions us as a benchmark of continuity and solidity within contemporary architecture, highlighting our ability to evolve in a highly competitive and demanding global environment.
Headquartered in New York, Architizer remains one of the most impactful digital platforms in the industry, annually connecting a community of over 100 million professionals, including architects, designers, and developers. The ranking, with its most recent update on May 8, 2026, employs rigorous metrics based on technical innovation, the social impact of projects, and recognition in international awards. Thus, the platform serves as a precision barometer that helps global institutions and clients identify the teams defining new standards of habitability and sustainability.
In the case of Spain, the analysis is framed within a culturally rich landscape where Christian, Muslim, and Jewish iconographies converge, alongside a global influence dating back to the 16th century that persists today through the Spanish Revival style. This tradition of ornamentation and detail is evident from 19th-century Catalan Modernism—led by Antoni Gaudí and iconic works like the Sagrada Família—to the rise of modern urbanism born in Barcelona. Following the democratic transition in 1975, Spain positioned itself at the center of global architectural debate with figures like Oriol Bohigas and Rafael Moneo; a relevance that continues today through the analysis of the “Bilbao Effect” and the legacy of architects like Ricardo Bofill, elements that continue to dominate contemporary design conversations worldwide.

International Recognition for Architectural Restoration and Conservation of Domus - Mas Cadalt
International Recognition for Architectural Restoration and Conservation of Domus – Mas Cadalt
05/05/2026
The project Mas Cadalt has been internationally recognized after being selected as a finalist in the Premio Internacional de Restauración y Conservación de Domus Fassa Bortolo, within the Built Projects category.
This award, promoted by Fassa Bortolo together with the Department of Architecture of the University of Ferrara, has become a key international reference in the field of architectural restoration. Its aim is to recognize projects that understand conservation as a cultural act, capable of activating historical preexistences through a conscious and contemporary design approach.
Is it possible to restore a way of life? Can it be done with the same care used to recover an ancient object? Mas Cadalt originates from this reflection: first understanding, and then intervening only where necessary. Located in the Serrat de la Cadalt landscape, the project addresses the recovery of a former farmhouse that had been abandoned, adapting it to contemporary needs without altering its essence.
Through a reinterpretation of tradition, the original volume and typology are preserved, transforming only what is strictly necessary. Each existing space finds its correspondence within the new program, maintaining its dimensions and relationships. On the access level, the kitchen incorporates the triple-height space of the existing tower, alongside the living room oriented towards the views of the mountain range. The upper floor contains two bedrooms, while the lower level reinterprets the former animal quarters as a multipurpose space. The adjacent volume, once used for agricultural storage, is repurposed as a garage and, above, a studio from which the designer Terence Woodgate develops his work.
The intervention is based on the original construction system of load-bearing limestone masonry walls, which have been restored and complemented with contemporary solutions such as cork-based thermal insulation. A secondary inner layer enhances thermal performance, integrates building systems, and increases natural light, establishing a precise dialogue between the existing structure and the new additions.
The interior is conceived as a space suspended between architecture and product design. Decisions are reduced to the essential: elements meet at a single point, installations are flush-integrated, and material coherence avoids any superfluous gesture.
The house achieves a high degree of energy and water self-sufficiency through photovoltaic systems and specially designed water reservoirs, one of which is transformed into a small pool. The surrounding productive landscape completes this way of living, where architecture and territory operate as a unified whole.
Being selected as a finalist in this international award recognizes an approach to working with existing structures based on precision, sustainability, and respect—understanding architecture not as imposition, but as continuity.
