Campus Zumex Group
The proposal for Zumex Group headquarters in Paterna design and construction competition has been selected finalist.
The project is drawn by two connected elements that distribute the program between offices and manufacturing area.
The corporate part stands out for its slender proportion that allows it to have the maximum perimeter of contact with the outside, favoring the habitability of the workplace, which acquires optimum comfort conditions and a perception of the views offered by the elevated position of the site. In the interior appear open and communicated spaces, both horizontally and vertically, bounded only by meeting rooms. Special attention is given to the operation of the circulation system, enhancing the visitor’s experience and favoring the life of the users.
The manufacturing part is drawn compactly, which makes it more efficient for its use and maximizes the use of available space. It is projected as a large open space, flexible, with capacity to expand and adapt to future configurations.

Last April, within Salone del Mobile.Milano 2017, Blau outdoor furniture collection, designed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos for GandiaBlasco, was presented.
With this reason, Archiproducts did an interview to our studio where keys that brought up the concept and definition from different pieces that make up the collection were explained.

House of the seven gardens
The project with a surface area of around 70 square meters is a guest pavilion that functions as an autonomous architecture conceived as an extension of a project that we had developed in the studio.
The human scale of the pavilion makes it a comfortable space where to experience living in a garden.
The pavilion consists of two rooms: one bedroom and a living room with a kitchen. There are also two bathrooms, one serving the pavilion and the other one as a support for the pool. Within the premises, the aim is that the built piece minimizes its impact on the garden from the main house. This way, the pavilion is located approaching one of the limits of the land, perpendicular to the swimming pool, showing its slimmer and opaque side towards the existing architectures. In the other direction the piece is a passageway, relating to the landscaped space and a sort of courtyard between the pavilion and the wall.

Customer services offices
The project consists in the implementation of customer service offices.
They are located in a commercial premise in the centre of the city with a complex geometry, full of turns and structural elements that interfere in the understanding of the space.
In order to organize the interior space and make its functioning effective, the turns are regularised by linked orthogonal geometries. Every one of the regular spaces are assigned to a different part of the programme. Each regular room is defined and distinguished from the contiguous rooms by the use of different tonalities, which go from white to different shades of gray. The ceilings are thus turned into a sort of signage that defines the various uses. The indirect lighting placed in the ceiling reinforces this idea and allowes the use of light fixtures whose length provides service to every workspace. The activity is concentrated in the first two meters of height. The office is organized and disorganized with the daily work, while the ceiling remains always ordered.

Next thursday April 20th at 7:00pm, our office will give a lecture at College of Architecture & Urban studies from Virginia Tech, following the lectures tour that is being carried out in United States, in which Kansas, Boston and New York among other cities will be visited.
We remember that this afternoon at Kansas City Design Center will take place at 5:30pm the lecture given by Maria Masià with the title “Work in progress”, where will be explained which are the office work methods as well as some ongoing projects.

Next week, our office will give two lectures at Kansas City Design Center from Kansas State University in United States.
The meetings will take place on April 17th and 18th and will be presented by Maria Masià and Fran Silvestre, who is this academic year the KSU Architecture Department Distinguished Victor L. Regnier Chair.
This act is enroled into the tour that our studio is making this days in United States, visiting among others Virginia Tech, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University and New York.

House of the seven gardens project in Sotogrande (Cádiz) has been published at japanese magazine GA Houses 151 issue, together with other ongoing residential projects from offices like Aires Mateus, Ryue Nishizawa, Kengo Kuma or Sou Fujimoto.
Alongside with it, it could be seen until June 4th at Tokyo GA Gallery an exhibition where published projects will be shown.
