The architect Fran Silvestre, distinguished with the title of Doctor Magno

The recognition of Doctor Magno has been used, historically, to highlight the role of eminent figures in different fields of knowledge, especially and originally, those related to philosophy and theology. Nowadays, the meaning of the honorary doctorate is focused on recognizing an academic or expert who has made significant contributions in their professional field, both in theory and in practice.

The award is granted by the Professional Association of Doctors of the Valencian Community, chaired by Mr. José Francisco Tárrega Andreu and aims to promote, train and disseminate the figure of the Doctor, valuing his performance as a researcher, as a teacher and also as a professional, fields in which Fran Silvestre has excelled with excellence.

Projects analyzed by some of the most renowned architecture critics of the contemporary scene, such as Philip Jodidio or David Cohn, among others, and awarded internationally; a teaching activity distributed among several universities and with a very positive assessment by the students, having been invited to lecture at universities in the United States, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy and Spain; and numerous articles published in indexed academic journals and other international research publications, have led the Professional Association of Doctors of the Valencian Community to recognize his work as a doctor being the distinguished figure in this 2024.
