Last week, Fran Silvestre Arquitectos participated in the I Cycle of International Conferences | Architectural Perspectives, organized by the Technological University of Peru. The event, led by architect Óscar Almanza of Alcab Arquitectura, featured the participation of architectural studios from five different countries, offering a space for dialogue and cultural exchange on the global architectural panorama. During the conference, the FSA team shared their unique approach to the design and materialization of projects, showing their innovative vision and commitment to architectural excellence.
In its presentation, the studio offered a detailed overview of its creative process, highlighting the importance of thinking with one’s hands as a key tool for transforming ideas into materialised architectural projects. This approach, based on physical and conceptual experimentation, reveals how sketches, models and manual work are fundamental in the transition from an initial vision to a concrete design. In addition, the studio’s commitment to creating an architecture where technique, functionality and aesthetics coexist in perfect harmony was addressed.
The presentation delved into some of the studio’s most emblematic works, such as the Cliff House, the House on the Slope of a Castle, the Balint House and the Hofmann House, analysing them from their conceptualisation to their integration into the environment and the daily lives of their inhabitants. Each project reflects the balance between innovation and respect for the context, achieving spaces that combine sophistication and sensitivity. This intervention not only allowed us to learn about the studio’s philosophy, but also left a valuable mark on students and professionals, who found in the shared experience a source of inspiration for their own paths in architecture.
