Project: Piera House

The project consists of the interior updating of an apartment in the center of the city of Valencia. We ordered the space looking for the continuity of the rooms, integrating the structural elements of the existing building within the divisions and the carpentry.
The plan is understood as three longitudinal bands that allow through ventilation. An area where you can work with generous natural lighting is incorporated into the main area of the house. A system of sliding carpentry allows incorporating or dividing the kitchen space from the living room depending on the situation. A gym, a water area, a fireplace, a terrace facing south over the treetops of Gran Vía (the healthy biophilia) and various facilities give the apartment a level of comfort that sometimes you do not want to leave.
Our studio has designed a new product for the ARTMOON brand: SIL Table.

Located in the center of Valencia, the project seeks to reinterpret the approach of this type of housing, recovering the potential of disused roofs. We like to think that each building takes away an open space from the city and gives it back on the roof.
One of the latest projects completed by the studio, Casa del Silencio, has been published in Arquitectura y Diseño, one of the most widely read magazines in the sector.
The project consists of making a musician’s studio coexist with his home. Located in a residential area near Valencia, where neighboring houses are very close to each other, it is decided to generate a semi-buried volume on the ground floor that configures the recording studio.
You can see the publication here.
Desfici Magazine together with the organization of World Design Capital Valencia 2022 have interviewed Fran Silvestre to learn about one of the latest projects completed by the studio, Topaz of Braye. This project has consisted of completely redesigning a 20-meter long Turkish schooner that was originally owned by a renowned British musical promoter and which is located in the Marina of Valencia.
In addition to this project, other very interesting topics were also discussed in the interview, such as the Eólica Tower, the collaboration with InHaus to carry out the design of industrialized houses or the status of current projects in China. You can read the interview here.

The purpose of this is to publicize the professional quality of the latest projects carried out in the province of Valencia, through an exhibition and a catalog.
The project consists of completely redesigning a sailboat. This is a 20-meter long Turkish schooner that was originally owned by a renowned British music promoter. It has two masts slightly inclined towards the stern. This type of boat was used for fishing and as a cargo ship, but later they were also used in regattas. The first one carried out in 1851 was won by the schooner America that today gives its name to the famous competition.
The relaxing power of a sheet of water when it is silhouetted against the sea is fascinating. A world of colors, reflections and textures appears in constant change that produces an enigmatic attraction. Sometimes this effect acquires a dimension that makes the rest of the elements that constitute a project are dispensable or accessory. Focused on this issue we begin the proposal to build a living space from which to contemplate a spectacular environment.
The place is located in Calpe and is delimited by four landscaping elements of great strength. To the north the rock of Ifach, to the east the Mediterranean Sea, to the south the Mascarat and to the west there is a distant view of the Sierra de Olta.
Next Friday, September 18th at 8 p.m., in the old convent of San Doménec in Xàtiva, will take place the inaguration of the exhibition Alfaro a Xàtiva: Diàleg amb la història, where some of the most recognized works by the Valencian artist will be distributed in the most representative enclaves of the historic center of the city, seeking to establish a dialogue between architecture of past eras with a minimalist sculpture. The rotundity of the Gothic or the sobriety of the Renaissance, interspersed with the simplicity and slenderness of sculptures such as The Fountain, the Laocoonte or the Goethe sitting in the countryside of Rome.
The exhibition will be curated by Fran Silvestre and Pablo Camarasa and will run from September to December.
Recently, the photoshooting of one of the latest interior design projects finished by our studio took place: Topaz of Braye. For photography and the video we had the collaboration of Jesús Orrico.
New finished project: Àtic Blanc. Located in the center of the city, the typology of this kind of house is reinterpreted. Looking for the feeling of being in an isolated house, the terrace is understood as a patio open to the sky and from which to contemplate the city of Valencia.
One of the recent projects completed by the studio, Pati Blau, has been published in Minimalissimo, a print and digital magazine focused on minimalism in design that shows some of the best examples in architecture, interiors, furniture and home furnishings.
House of Silence. The project seeks to respond to a house and a studio for a musician.
The working area is partially buried in the lower part, responding to the acoustic needs. The upper floor is designed closed to the immediate environment due to the proximity to the next houses and projecting a kind of courtyards open to the large gardens in the surroundings.
“This two-floor apartment in the Alicante town, Altea, could be perfectly defined as a blank canvas. After its refurbishment, in the interior prevail the neutral colors, the first-class materials such as Carrara marble, and an obsession with organization that borders on perfection.”
One of our recent completed projects, Penthouse in Costa Blanca, has been published in the well-known Architectural Digest magazine. In the publication you can find, the images of the project and a detailed description of it made by the magazine. You can see the full article here.

The project consists in the refurbishment of a penthouse located in the Costa Blanca of the Mediterranean Sea. Boosting the views of the Bay of Altea becomes the most important element of this proposal.
The second edition of the monograph of our studio, Scenaries for Life, edited by TC Cuadernos, is now available after the first one is sold out.
The monograph compiles in 224 pages the most significant works made by our studio from its foundation until 2018.
The main works such the House of the cliff, the Balint House or the House between the pine forest, developed with plans for the first time in this volume. The interior design, the rehabilitation and the big scale works are also included.
The project consists in the construction of the headquarters for Mondraker, a company dedicated to the manufacture of competition mountain bikes. Located in an industrial park and surrounded by orthogonal edification, the building seeks to break away from the adjacent geometry and encloses itself, with a circular plan hollowed out by a central courtyard. Two vaults pierce the geometry allowing the access to the building, and creating a sort of central atrium which can be used, due to its form, to generate events and exhibitions. This geometry separates the building from its surrounding, reinforcing the corporative identity of the company and improving the quality of the open space in the plot.
The second monograph of our studio, La belleza eficaz, has been sold out and a new edition is now available. The publisher has also published monographs of international architecture studios such as Barozzi Veiga, Bak Gordon, Tatiana Bilbao, Alberto Campo Baeza, Claus in Kaan, Steven Holl, Ensemble Estudio, Livio Vacchini or Pezo von Ellrichshausen.
