The WELL standard, based on 6 years of medical-scientific research, is the most widespread and prestigious international health and well-being standard in architecture. WELL projects are characterized by putting the human being at the center of their designs, resulting in built spaces that take care of people’s health in an integral way. The Well Villa, designed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos and whose health and wellness consultancy has been carried out by Evalore, is the first project of its category to integrate the characteristics of this well-known standard.

It was in the Muslim era when the so-called farmhouses were concentrating the population of the Ribera Alta, although some of these settlements had an Iberian origin. Over time these population centers have become places connected to the big city in a simple way and with an enviable quality of life. With all the good that the proximity of a large city offers and all the advantages of living connected to the territory and its culture. The project emerges as an interpretation of this typology. The delicious bankruptcies of the plot are regularized with the servants of the facilities, a gymnasium and storage pieces, drawing the outline of a regular patio.
The house is located in front of the Mediterranean, in a place where an imposing dune protects the coast from storms. This starting point defines the configuration of the project. The house is materialized with two volumes arranged perpendicular to each other.
In order to have views of the sea, the program of uses of the house is inverted as opposed to the traditional scheme, the day area is arranged on the upper floor to be able to look over the top of the dune and uses the lower level roof as a belvedere.
From the entire team of Fran Silvestre Arquitectos we wish you

“Fran Silvestre’s architecture is a distillation of the Mediterranean landscape and way of life: open, white, bright and refined spaces. This concept that inspires to live outdoors and enjoy the mild Levant climate cannot find a better translation outside of mainland than in the design of pleasure boats. The sailboat in which they have intervened is a Turkish schooner of twenty meters in length and two masts.”
One of the most recent projects completed by the studio, Topaz of Braye, has been published by the well-known magazine Arquitectura y Diseño. You can read more about the news here or learn more about the project on our website and on our Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Pinterest. profiles.
The project consists of completely redesigning a sailboat. This is a 20-meter long Turkish schooner that was originally owned by a renowned British music promoter. It has two masts slightly inclined towards the stern. This type of boat was used for fishing and as a cargo ship, but later they were also used in regattas. The first one carried out in 1851 was won by the schooner America that today gives its name to the famous competition.
Recently, the photoshooting of one of the latest interior design projects finished by our studio took place: Topaz of Braye. For photography and the video we had the collaboration of Jesús Orrico.
New finished project: Àtic Blanc. Located in the center of the city, the typology of this kind of house is reinterpreted. Looking for the feeling of being in an isolated house, the terrace is understood as a patio open to the sky and from which to contemplate the city of Valencia.
House of Silence. The project seeks to respond to a house and a studio for a musician.
The working area is partially buried in the lower part, responding to the acoustic needs. The upper floor is designed closed to the immediate environment due to the proximity to the next houses and projecting a kind of courtyards open to the large gardens in the surroundings.
Located in the center of the city, the project arises to give response to a new clinic whose values are based on an extremely personalized treatment to the client. The layout of the building, which dates from the beginning of the last century, conditioned the distribution.
Architectural Record is a magazine located in Manhattan that is dedicated to architecture and interior design. It is number #1 source for news in the sector and info on sustainability, houses, projects and architectural products, and also architect continuing education.
The project consists in the refurbishment of a penthouse located in the Costa Blanca of the Mediterranean Sea. Boosting the views of the Bay of Altea becomes the most important element of this proposal.
The house on the cliff has been published recently in the book Houses: Extraordinary Living by the renowned publisher Phaidon.
The book explores the world’s most innovative and influential architect-designed houses created since the early 20th century and it also celebrates the incredible diversity and beauty of the house as never before, from modernist icons to feats of technological, material, and spatial innovation in the 21st century.
