ACCESS CRYPT TO COLONIA GÜELL
The perimeter fence that will be built during the works of restoration and protection of the crypt splits into two in the point of access in order to generate the space for the pavilion. Competing with a unique building is this way avoided. The space is configured with steel panels.
This material served in sheets by the industry is perforated with a motif taken from a fence designed by Gaudí himself, making reference to his work. As the light passes through the panels, it projects its image on the pavement.
The pavilion is divided in two areas, one for waiting and the access, and another one for the exit and the shop. These areas are connected by two different types of circulation, a public one, that facilitates the use of the restrooms, and a private one, that allows the custody of the crypt.
